How do I book an exotic car rental with Valkyrie?

How far in advance should I book a luxury car rental?
We recommend booking at least 48–72 hours in advance for standard rentals. For peak weekends, holidays, and special events like weddings, booking 1–2 weeks ahead ensures you get your preferred vehicle. Last-minute availability is sometimes possible—call us to check.
Can I check real-time availability for a specific vehicle?
Yes. Contact us by phone or email with your desired dates and vehicle, and we will confirm availability immediately. Our fleet rotates between San Francisco, Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego, and Miami, so advance confirmation guarantees the car is in your market.
Can I modify or change my reservation after booking?
Absolutely. Date changes, vehicle swaps, and location changes can be accommodated subject to availability. Contact us as early as possible—modifications made more than 48 hours before your rental start incur no additional fees.
Is there a minimum rental period?
Our standard minimum rental is one day (24 hours). Multi-day rentals are available at reduced daily rates, and weekly or monthly arrangements can be customized to your needs.
Can I book a luxury car rental for someone else?
Yes, you may book on behalf of another driver. The person driving must meet all eligibility requirements, present a valid license at pickup, and be listed on the rental agreement. The cardholder for payment must also be present or provide written authorization.

Pricing & Payment

How much does it cost to rent an exotic car?
Daily rates depend on the vehicle. Examples from our fleet: Lamborghini Huracán starts at $1,195/day, Mercedes G63 AMG at $595/day, Lucid Air at $545/day, and Rivian R1S at $495/day. Multi-day and weekly rentals receive discounted rates.
Do you offer discounts for multi-day exotic car rentals?
Yes. Rentals of 3+ days receive a reduced daily rate, and weekly rentals offer the best value. Contact us with your desired dates for an exact quote—longer commitments mean bigger savings.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) and debit cards with a Visa/Mastercard logo. A valid credit card is required for the security deposit hold. We do not accept cash, prepaid cards, or cryptocurrency.
Is a security deposit required to rent a luxury car?
Yes. A refundable security deposit of $2,500 to $10,000 is authorized on your credit card at the start of the rental, depending on the vehicle. This hold is released within 5–10 business days after a damage-free return.
Are there any hidden fees I should know about?
We believe in transparent pricing. Your quote includes the daily rate and insurance. Additional charges that may apply include excess mileage beyond the daily allowance, late return fees, cleaning fees for excessively dirty vehicles, and toll charges. All potential fees are outlined in your rental agreement before you sign.
Do you charge for delivery and pickup?
Delivery within our standard service areas (major airports and central hotel zones) is complimentary for multi-day rentals. Single-day rentals or deliveries outside the core zone may incur a nominal delivery fee. We will confirm any delivery charges when you book.

Insurance & Coverage

Do I need special insurance to rent an exotic car?
You are not required to carry a separate exotic car insurance policy. Valkyrie provides comprehensive rental coverage that protects you during the rental period. You may also use your personal full-coverage auto insurance if it extends to rental vehicles valued over $100,000—check with your provider beforehand.
What does your rental insurance cover?
Our standard coverage includes collision damage protection, comprehensive coverage (theft, vandalism, weather), and third-party liability. The renter is responsible for a deductible in the event of a claim, which varies by vehicle. Full details are provided in the rental agreement.
Can I use my own auto insurance for an exotic car rental?
If your personal auto insurance covers rental vehicles—including high-value exotics—you may decline our coverage and rely on your own policy. We require proof of coverage showing a minimum liability of $300,000/$500,000 and comprehensive/collision with a deductible of $2,500 or less.
Does my credit card cover exotic car rental insurance?
Some premium credit cards (Amex Platinum, Chase Sapphire Reserve, etc.) offer secondary rental car coverage. However, many exclude vehicles valued over $75,000 or exotic/luxury categories. We strongly recommend confirming with your card issuer before relying on this coverage.
What happens if the car is damaged during my rental?
In the event of damage, document it with photos and contact us immediately. Your security deposit or insurance deductible will apply toward repairs. If you purchased our coverage, you are protected up to the policy limits. Intentional damage, off-road use, or driving under the influence voids all coverage.
Am I covered for roadside assistance?
Yes, every Valkyrie rental includes 24/7 roadside assistance. If you experience a flat tire, dead battery, lockout, or mechanical issue, call us and we will dispatch help immediately or arrange a replacement vehicle.

Requirements & Eligibility

What are the age requirements to rent an exotic car?
You must be at least 25 years old to rent from Valkyrie Car Rentals. This is an industry-standard requirement for exotic and luxury vehicle rentals, driven by insurance underwriting. No exceptions can be made for drivers under 25.
What type of driver's license do I need?
A valid, unrestricted U.S. driver's license is required. International visitors must present a valid foreign license along with an International Driving Permit (IDP). Learner's permits, temporary licenses, and restricted licenses are not accepted.
Can international visitors rent exotic cars from Valkyrie?
Yes. International renters are welcome and must provide a valid passport, a driver's license from their home country, and an International Driving Permit (IDP). A major credit card in the renter's name is also required for the security deposit.
Do you run a credit check before renting?
We do not run a formal credit inquiry. However, we do verify that your credit card can accommodate the security deposit authorization hold. A valid credit card with sufficient available credit is required for all rentals.
How many drivers can be on the rental agreement?
We allow up to two authorized drivers per rental. The additional driver must meet all the same age, license, and insurance requirements. Both drivers should be present at the time of vehicle delivery to sign the agreement.
Do I need to provide proof of insurance?
If you wish to use your own personal insurance in lieu of our coverage, yes—you must provide proof of full coverage that extends to high-value rental vehicles. If you choose our included rental coverage, no additional proof of insurance is needed.

Delivery & Pickup

Do you deliver exotic cars to the airport?
Yes. Airport delivery is one of our most popular services. We deliver to SFO, OAK, SJC in the Bay Area; LAX, BUR, SNA in Southern California; SAN in San Diego; and MIA, FLL in Miami. We meet you at the terminal or a designated airport location.
Can you deliver a luxury car to my hotel?
Absolutely. We deliver to hotels, resorts, Airbnbs, private residences, and offices throughout our service areas. Simply provide the address when booking and we will coordinate with the property for a seamless handoff.
How does the delivery and pickup process work?
On your rental date, our team delivers the vehicle to your specified location. We do a brief walkthrough of the car's features, document the vehicle's condition together, review the rental agreement, and hand over the keys. At the end of your rental, we pick the car up from the same or a different agreed-upon location.
What areas do you serve for delivery?
We currently serve five major markets: San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego, and Miami. Within each market, we cover a wide radius including suburbs, beach cities, and business districts. Contact us if your location is outside a city center—we can usually accommodate.
Can I pick up and drop off at different locations?
Yes, one-way rentals within the same metro area are available. For example, you can pick up at LAX and drop off at a Beverly Hills hotel. Cross-market one-way rentals (e.g., LA to San Diego) may be arranged for multi-day bookings—contact us for details and any applicable fees.
What are your delivery hours?
Standard delivery hours are 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM daily. Early morning and late evening deliveries can be arranged with advance notice. We coordinate the exact time with you to ensure someone is available to receive the vehicle.

Vehicle Information

What types of luxury and exotic cars do you offer?
Our fleet includes exotic supercars (Lamborghini Huracán), luxury SUVs (Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG), and premium electric vehicles (Rivian R1S, Lucid Air). We continuously update our inventory. Browse our full fleet on the website or contact us for the latest availability.
What is the daily mileage limit on exotic car rentals?
Each rental includes 100 miles per day. Additional miles can be purchased at the time of booking or are charged per mile upon return. Rates for excess mileage vary by vehicle. If you plan a longer road trip, let us know in advance and we can offer a mileage package.
What is your fuel policy for luxury car rentals?
Gasoline vehicles are delivered with a full tank and should be returned full. If the vehicle is returned with less than a full tank, a refueling charge at market rate plus a service fee applies. For electric vehicles, we deliver with at least 80% charge.
Are the cars manual or automatic transmission?
All vehicles in our current fleet feature automatic transmissions (or dual-clutch automated manuals in the case of the Lamborghini Huracán). You do not need experience with manual transmissions to drive any of our cars.
Can I take the rental car on a road trip?
Yes, you may drive within California or Florida depending on your rental market. Out-of-state travel requires prior written approval. Keep in mind the daily mileage allowance—contact us to discuss mileage packages if you are planning a longer trip.

Weddings & Events

Do you offer exotic cars for weddings?
Yes, wedding rentals are among our most popular bookings. A Lamborghini Huracán or Mercedes G63 AMG makes a stunning arrival for the couple, and our team ensures the car is immaculately detailed and delivered on time to your venue. We offer flexible timing to accommodate ceremony and photo schedules.
Can I rent a luxury car for a corporate event or client entertainment?
Absolutely. We work with businesses for executive transportation, product launches, client appreciation events, and corporate retreats. Multi-vehicle packages are available, and we can coordinate delivery to event venues, hotels, or offices.
Do you provide cars for photo shoots and film production?
Yes. Our vehicles are available for professional photo shoots, music videos, commercials, and film productions. We offer flexible hourly and daily rates for static (non-driving) shoots, and can provide a driver or handler on set. Proof of production insurance is required.
Can I rent an exotic car for a birthday or special occasion?
Of course. Birthdays, anniversaries, proposals, proms, and milestone celebrations are great reasons to rent an exotic car. We can time the delivery for a surprise reveal and even add touches like a bow or custom signage upon request.
Do you offer chauffeur services for events?
We primarily offer self-drive rentals. However, for weddings and select events, we can arrange a professional driver upon request. Chauffeur services are subject to availability and an additional hourly fee. Let us know your needs when booking.

Policies

What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations made 48 hours or more before the rental start receive a full refund. Cancellations within 24–48 hours incur a 50% charge. Cancellations within 24 hours or no-shows are charged the full rental amount. We understand plans change—contact us as early as possible.
Can I extend my rental once it has started?
Yes, extensions are available subject to vehicle availability. Contact us at least 24 hours before your scheduled return to request an extension. The same daily rate (or applicable multi-day discount) applies to the extended period.
What happens if I return the car late?
A grace period of 30 minutes is provided. Beyond that, late returns are charged at an hourly rate up to the cost of an additional full day. If the vehicle is needed for another reservation and is returned late, additional fees may apply. Please communicate any delays as soon as possible.
Is smoking allowed in the rental vehicles?
No. All Valkyrie vehicles are strictly non-smoking. This includes cigarettes, cigars, vapes, and any other smoking devices. A minimum cleaning fee of $500 will be charged if evidence of smoking is found in the vehicle upon return.
Can I bring pets in the rental car?
Pets are generally not permitted in our exotic and luxury vehicles due to the risk of damage to premium interior materials. If you have a service animal, please inform us at the time of booking and we will make appropriate arrangements.
Who is responsible for tolls and traffic violations?
The renter is responsible for all tolls, parking tickets, traffic citations, and moving violations incurred during the rental period. Any fines received after your rental will be forwarded to you along with an administrative processing fee as outlined in the rental agreement.
Are there any driving restrictions?
Yes. Track use, off-road driving, racing, and towing are strictly prohibited. Speed in excess of posted limits is not permitted. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs voids all coverage and the renter assumes full liability for any resulting damages.

Electric Vehicles

What electric vehicles do you have available for rent?
We currently offer the Rivian R1S ($495/day) and the Lucid Air ($545/day). Both are premium all-electric vehicles that combine cutting-edge technology with outstanding performance. Our EV fleet is expanding—check back for new additions.
How do I charge an electric rental car?
We provide a mobile charging cable with every EV rental. You can charge at any public Level 2 or DC fast charging station using the included accounts (ChargePoint, Electrify America). Many hotels and Airbnbs also offer EV charging. We include a guide with charging station locations near your delivery area.
What is the range on your electric rental cars?
The Rivian R1S offers approximately 300+ miles of range on a full charge. The Lucid Air provides up to 400+ miles depending on trim and driving conditions. Both vehicles are more than sufficient for a full day of city driving or a scenic coastal road trip without needing to recharge.
Do I need to return the EV fully charged?
We ask that you return the vehicle with at least 50% charge. If the vehicle is returned below 50%, a charging fee will apply. We deliver with at least 80% charge so you are ready to drive immediately.
Is renting an electric exotic car different from a gas car?
The rental process is identical. The main differences are fueling (charging vs. gas stations) and the driving experience—EVs offer instant torque, near-silent operation, and one-pedal driving. We walk you through all EV-specific features during the delivery handoff, including charging, regenerative braking, and the infotainment system.
